I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina by two wonderful parents and with four other siblings – of which I am the oldest. I am the natural born leader – outgoing, determined, goal oriented, a perfectionist, organized, and head strong. I love to have a good time with my family and friends. I am married to the bestest husband in the whole wide world – Tyler – and we dearly love each other. We are free and able to love each other because of the precious, sacrificial, awesome love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
At a young age, I surrendered my life to the Creator, Sustainer, and Savior of the world. Since then, I have been on a path towards Him, to love and obey Him well, and in doing so, to love and to serve others well. He has transformed me from a prideful person to a thankful person, from a critical person to an encouraging person, from a person who pursues perfectionism to a person who seeks excellence and to glorify the Lord in all that I do.
The Lord has given me the desires of my heart; he is the giver of all goods things, the giver of more than we could ever ask for or imagine. He has given me Himself. He has given me a wonderful family and fun friends. He has fulfilled my desire to be a wife and He has given me the bestest husband in the whole entire world! In a posture of humble, overwhelmingly happy, thankfulness and love, I seek to love the Lord through loving my husband well.
The Lord has also given me the desire to teach and to help and to love other women. In this season of my life the Lord has shown me that I can apply that desire by sharing with other women – starting with my family and friends and then spreading to other women – what the Lord has taught me about the practical, every day ways we can love the Lord. Elisabeth Elliot, a precious woman of God, writes that we are fulfilling the great will of God in our lives when we do the humdrum duties of the day.
I desire to impart to women -young and old, single or married, aunts, mommies, grandmommies, sisters, neices, whoever you are – to love the Lord well and to love others well.
This is accomplished through the ordinary – through organizing your home, through clipping coupons, through good conversations with your husband, through sweeping the crumbs from the dinner table – through whatever the Lord has given you to steward in this life.
